The jean jacket is a staple in the Americana style of fashion. There are all types of jean jacket colors, shapes, and sizes so hopefully, we can help you figure out some stylish options.
So, how to wear a jean jacket men? Jean jackets go with white tees extremely well. You can’t miss it with a white tee, jean jacket, jean pants, and white sneakers to be honest. Though there are many different combos in which the jean jacket looks great, this was the AI’s favorite.
I also noticed that most looks would cuff the sleeves or roll them up slightly while adding accessories to the overall look. Just an interesting observation I wouldn’t have noticed if I didn’t do this experiment.
1. Red shoes can work
Red shoes aren’t easy to get right, but since most jean jackets are blue, the color coordination lends itself to opportunities. Pair with black jeans and a white shirt and you got yourself an interesting stylish get up.
2. Tan jean jacket with blue jeans
Jean on jean seems to be the desired choice here for the AI. When wearing pants with jean jackets, I’ve noticed it’s best to wear denim pants as well. It might seem obvious to some, but I’ve always struggled to figure out if I can wear chinos, but I suppose they just don’t work fashion wise.
3. Dark Jean Shorts
You can do jean shorts with a jean jacket and it can still work. Highly recommend adjusting the color so that the jeans are darker than the jean jacket.
4. White Tee and white sneakers
This is the most generated option, leading me to believe many of the fashion pics online by professionals are some sort of combo like this. There’s something easy here that works extremely well.
5. White Ripped Jeans
This one works well with the blue jean jacket but not as much with the tan style of jean jacket. Also be careful with the shoe choice here, as brown boots can throw this whole look off. Try to use sneakers that are not white, black would do the trick here.
6. Tan/Beige Textured Under Shirt
I really like this grainy tan undershirt for this jean jacket look. This isn’t a popular option but I think it looks sharp. Could use a cashmere style shirt or sweater and see how that looks.
7. Black T-Shirt
This isn’t something I would immediately assume either, but I’ve seen a bunch of options with black tees that work well for the jean jacket look. Make sure to accessorize the wrist if you roll up the sleeves a little bit.
8. Horizontal Striped Under-Shirt
This isn’t going to be for everyone, and I actually almost didn’t include this style but I figured someone might like this style or look. It’s something to play around with anyways and if you have both pieces you can try it out for your wardrobe.
9. Checkered Button-Up Shirt
This is a classic look since you will be wearing jean pants with your jean jacket much of the time. This breaks up the pure denim from top to bottom well. Definitely one of the staples. I like the white dominant pattern but you can use red or pink or even green as well.
Overall, I found this to be an interesting exercise. The main thing I noticed is the prevalence of white undershirts and white sneakers in all of the options suggested. I also noticed that many of the pics had the model roll their sleeves a bit or at least cuff them up on their jean jackets.
Hopefully, you got as much as I did out of this one! Cheers.
